Love grows over time
The card today is my submission for this week's Just-Add-Ink challenge. It was a sketch challenge featuring a big circle. I have put a lot of layers on this card to achieve the look I wanted. The clock image is done using a technique called faux linen. The base is glossy white card which has been stamped with background images, then sanded both horizontally and vertically. It is lightly sponged with pink pirouette ink and once again sanded. The finished look is more matte than glossy but with a depth and richness to it that normal white or cream card doesn't have. I have also used the platium shimmer paint all over the card. Some of the paint has been stamped on, some sprayed on and some sponged on.

This is a quick and easy gift box to make. The pattern is from the Stampin' Up! pattern library and I have taught variations of it in my classes before. The flower medallion is made from one long strip of designer series paper which is folded in a concentina style and then the two ends are joined together to make a circle. The circle is then flattened to make the flower medallion.
