Kiwiana Cards

Kiwiana includes all things iconic to New Zealand.
If you are a Kiwi (New Zealander) as old as I am, you will remember these Mary-Lou dolls from your childhood.
I made this one using circle punches and the pansy punch. The body is hand cut. Here is the buzzy bee card that I made a few years back. I have posted it here before but it doesn't hurt to show it again.

Cool Treats

Sunday, 12 February 2017

Today I have a quick and easy card to show you.
It is made using a couple of strips of the Tasty Treats Speciality Paper.
You can't see it in this photo but all the ice cream cones are glossy embossed (a feature of the speciality paper).
I added some sparkle with the gold glimmer paper, sprinkles embellishments (sequins) and gold and pool party bakers twine.

You can find these items on page 8, 32 and 33 of the occassions catalogue.
Thanks for visiting from Rhonda

I love the carousel horse stamp on the Carousel Birthday stamp set and used that as my inspiration for making my own with the horse from the Little Cuties stamp set.

Do you like it?
The paper is from the Cupcakes and Carousels Paper Stack. The pole is from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.

Pocket Letters

Wednesday, 04 January 2017

Recently I started getting obessed with the pocket letter pages that I saw on Pinterest.
In December I joined Pocket Letter Pals (A group formed by Pocket Pals founder - Jeanette Lane) and completed three swaps.
I will show a couple of them to you.
This first one was on the theme of "Black and White Christmas". It went to a lady in the UK.

This second one went to a lady in North Carolina, USA.
The theme was "My Home Town".
My third one was "birds and birdhouses" and is getting posted to Australia.
These pocket pages fold up into a business size envelope and get sent overseas at the standard letter rate.

Each pocket has some goodies, such as embellishments, ribbon, stickers etc in the back, as well as a letter from me.

Not only were they fun to make but they were such fun to receive. Such interesting letters from ladies I have never met before and lovely surprises in the pockets.
It was like Christmas day all over again!
