Basic Black, Soft Suede, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie
Scallop Edge, 2 step bird, Sm & Lge tags, 1 1/4” Circle, Boho Blossoms, Crop-o-dile, Little leaves die
Narrow Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Sponge Daubers, 2-Way Glue Pen, Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, Spritzer tool, Big Shot Machine, Adhesive, Pencil, Rubber, Ruler and Bone scorer.

To make box
1. Cut an 8¾” x 7” piece of CC card, with card in landscape position score at 2”, 4”, 6” and 8”.  Turn card 90º to portrait position and score at 2” and 5”. (Step 1 has been done for you today.)
2. In landscape position cut along vertical score lines from bottom edge of card up to the first horizontal score line. These four squares will form the base of the box. The small piece at the side of these squares can be completely cut away as it is not needed.
3. At the top of the box, the score lines will form four corresponding squares to the ones that you cut at the bottom. You will need to place score lines on 2 of these squares at the top of the box. Choose the square directly next to the small rectangle tab piece, measure and mark a point halfway in the square at the top edge (1” in). Score from the bottom L of the square up to the halfway mark and do the same from the bottom R up to the halfway mark. You will have scored a triangle within the square. Leave the next square untouched but repeat scoring instructions in the third square.
4. Spritz card with black ink if desired.
5. Fold along score lines, place tape on the side tabs and on the cut bottom squares. HINT: fold box up first to give you an idea of where the tape needs to go. You will only need to tape 3 of the bottom square tabs.

To make the birdhouse roof
1. Take a 2¼” x 5” piece of BB card and score in half at 2½”. Use the scallop edge punch to make scallops at both short ends of the card.
2. Take a ¾” strip of black card and scallop along the entire length of it. Cut it into 2¼” pieces when you have finished. You will need four of these pieces to form the roof tiles.
3. Starting at the centre fold line, adhere one scalloped strip onto the BB card, Line up the straight edge with the fold line. Adhere the next scalloped piece directly underneath it so that it is butted up against the first one. Continue until all 4 strips are adhered. Try and vary the scallops so that the bumps are alternating with each strip.
4. Decide which side of your completed box will be the front and then attach the scallop roof each to the top of the CC box (HINT: Put tape on the CC side rather than the black roof side as the black piece will overhang each side a little bit and you won’t want the tape to show underneath.) The other, un-scalloped side of the black roof remains free and unattached.

To decorate the box    (NB. These may be done in any order.)
• Bird - Stamp bird shape twice in soft suede ink on VV card and punch out one bird and one wing from the two stamped images. Dauber with choc chip ink, then attach wing to bird.
• Bird Hole - Punch 1¼” circle from BB card.
• Leaves - Punch a couple of leaves from 2 step bird punch in OO card (this has been done for you today) and die cut 2 x little leaves using the Big Shot machine.
• Flowers - Stamp Punch Potpourri flowers in real red ink on RR card and punch with Boho blossoms punch. Stamp flowers again in elegant eggplant ink on PP card and punch out. Stamp a third set of flowers in pumpkin pie ink on PCH card and punch out.
• Leaves – Punch a couple of OO leaves from the 2 step bird punch (already done today) and die cut 2 x leaves from the little leaves die, using the big shot, (also in OO card).
• Grass - Take a ¾” x 8” strip of OO card and punch using the scallop edge punch. Then turn over the punch and hold in your hand to see where you reinsert the card and punch into the bumps to create a jagged grass effect.
• Greeting Tag - Stamp Easter Wishes on VV card in black ink and punch out with small tag punch. Dauber edges in black ink. Adhere to silver card, which has already been punched out with the large tag punch. Decorate tag with a small leaf and flower if desired.

Putting it all together
1. Adhere grass to bottom of the box
2. Adhere bird hole to front of the box, below the adhered scalloped roof.
3. Adhere tag to the back of the box, below the loose flap of the unattached roof.
4. Adhere other leaves and flowers as desired.
5. Use dimensional to adhere bird over the bird hole.
6. Put Easter eggs inside the box.
7. Punch two small holes with the crop-o-dile in the unattached roof flap. Close the flap and hold in place while you make pencil marks through the holes onto the CC box below.
8. Lift the flap up and with the points of your scissors, make holes where the pencil marks are. (The crop-o-dile will not reach these holes and the holes will not be seen once the ribbon is threaded through them).
9. Thread ribbon through all the holes and tie with a bow to close.
